UNIT #617

This young couple just bought a 1940 duplex in the heart of Montreal and was looking to transform both units into more opened and refreshed living area. All the renovation have been focused on ecological and sustainable materials and technologies even with a modest budget.

For the Unit #617, the challenge was to renovate the late 1940's kitchen and optimizing the lost volumes around to accommodate a family of 4 persons . The complete redistribution of the space have now created a fully functional kitchen complemented by a real dining area and integrated storage. The replacement of the carpet for insulated natural hardwood flooring on the entire apartment combine with the energy efficient windows offers now a warm and cozy feeling through the space with much more energy efficient consumption.
